In the modern world we do not take enough time to relax. We are woken up abruptly by our alarms, we leave no time to daydream, and when we feel those natural lulls in the day, mid-morning and mid-afternoon, we power through with chocolate or a coffee. Being in a relaxed state, and specifically a Theta brainwave state, is vital for human beings for a number of reasons. In this state our cells repair, our nervous system restores, we recover from stress and process grief. As our current lifestyles allow us very little time in this state, our cell regeneration can go awry and our stress and grief can go unchecked. This Sound Bath has been designed to encourage you to achieve a deep relaxed Theta state for the majority of the session, the result of which can be incredibly calming and nourishing for your whole system. So bring a Yoga or exercise mat to lie on, a blanket, your cosiest socks and book now as there are limited spots available! Event Schedule 18:45 Doors open Ceremonial Cacao and herbal tea is served  19:00 Sound Bath introduction 19:15 Sound Bath commences 20:00 Sound Bath concludes 20:15 All guests to depart *Please arrive no later than 19:00    Contraindiactions Whilst both Ceremonial Cacao and Sound Therapy are safe on the whole, like many therapeutic treatments and medicines, there are a few contraindications to be aware of. With this in mind please read the below and if booking for more than one person please forward this email on so everyone is aware and in turn looked after.     Ceremonial Cacao Contraindications Between 6.45pm and 7pm there will be optional Ceremonial Cacao served, which can enhance your experience of the Sound Bath. If choosing to drink some of the cacao provided as part of your ticket, please make sure you are well hydrated before coming to the session, as cacao can be dehydrating (a little like tea and coffee). If you are on MAOI based antidepressants, cacao naturally contains tyramine, which is contraindicative of your medication. Cacao is not suitable for anyone with serious heart conditions, low blood pressure, or anyone on blood thinning or blood pressure lowering medication, as it is a vasodilator. It is also not suitable for anyone pregnant or breastfeeding. The cacao served during ceremonies is 20g per serving (based on one cup per person). The recommended daily dosage should not exceed 50g. The cacao will be made with 100% pure cacao, water and coconut milk. If you have any contraindications or allergies there will also be a variety of herbal teas available for your perusal.    Sound Therapy Contraindications The only absolute contraindication for Sound Therapy is if you are in the first trimester of pregnancy. Although there is no evidence that sound therapy would do any harm to an unborn child this is a standard requirement for insurance purposes across most holistic practices.   If you suffer with Epilepsy or seizures please let the host know in advance of the event. It is unlikely the sound frequencies used would trigger a seizure but by letting the host know we can ensure your needs are met. The Sound Bath itself is designed to encourage you into a deep state of relaxation that can produce imagery. With this in mind if you suffer with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety the Sound Bath could be triggering. If this is a concern please contact the host directly and we are happy to chat this through with you. It is very rare, but occasionally sound frequencies set unsympathetic resonance with metal implants in the body. There is no problem with this, but if you do have metal plates in your body please let the host know upon arrival so we can check in advance if your implant causes any pain or discomfort. If you require lifesaving medication please let the host know upon arrival so we can ensure your needs are met also.    Inclusivity Policy This event is for anyone 16 years+ unfortunately children under 16 are not permitted. This session is warmly open to all, irrespective of gender, age, disability, sexual orientation, ethnicity, culture or religious beliefs. The venue and event is wheelchair-friendly however please inform the host if you require physical support to enter and/or leave the venue.

The session can happen ONLINE or IN PERSON. If online and you wish to receive the cacao bar via mail, material and shipment costs will be applied, otherwise I will suggest where to purchase your ceremonial cacao.  Cacao is a sacred plant for the indigenous people, who call it 'The Drink of the Gods'. This is also the meaning of the scientific name given to the cacao plant Theobroma Cacao (Theo - God, broma - drink). To give the cacao spirit the opportunity to enter the person who takes it, the traditional way is to do it through a specific ceremony. It has been used for millennia by the indigenous peoples of Central America as an essential element in rituals. The Cacao Spirit was considered one of the most important deities in the Mayan cosmovision. In Mexico, the Aztecs considered it so precious that cocoa beans were regarded as coins. Ceremonial cacao is very different from the cacao found in our supermarkets. It is produced by simply cold milling cocoa beans from indigenous plants, after which the beans are lightly roasted and peeled. In this way, the cacao contains all the elements of the fruit in its entirety, including the cacao butter, which in industrial production is immediately separated. Returning to the ceremony, the intake of cacao is a sacred moment to connect with the Divine through a deep inner journey from the heart. Cacao has the property of encouraging a loving opening of the heart, allowing you to listen to the deepest parts of yourself. it is through the Heart that the connection with Heaven, Heart of Heaven, and with Earth, Heart of Earth, takes place. The heart is the seat of love in all traditional cultures, sometimes it is also the seat of some wounds that one receives in life, that is why Cacao has an effect first of all of releasing and releasing the emotions that bring the pains of life, but later it connects the individual with the true and great Heart, seat of infinite, unlimited Love. Mama Cacao also works on our Ancestors, it has the ability to release and heal the suffering that was theirs. The Cacao Ceremony leads to a very profound experience of healing, especially towards the awareness that each person's life is in any case imbued with Pure Love, from the moment of conception to the moment of the present breath. Love, also in the Mayan tradition, is the engine of all life, it is the source and source of well-being, harmony and balance of the entire Cosmos. In this Sacred Heart Alchemy Cacao and Shamanic Reiki Drumming Sound Journey, I will be weaving together two of my favourite things, the heart-opening elixir of mama cacao and the primordial sound of the drum to bring us back into balance and harmony. This is a journey into the heart and together we will invite the loving medicine of mama cacao, to open our hearts and settle our minds, allowing us to tune into our hearts for guidance on what we need more of in this very moment.  We will then continue the journey deeper into our hearts whilst the sound of the drum takes us into a space of deep relaxation and recalibration. Cacao is a heart-opening non-psychoactive plant medicine and is one of the many tools available that can help us tune into who we really are.   She supports us in softening our hearts so we can move from fear to love and connect with our inner wisdom.  Drinking Cacao in its purest form allows a deeper connection to ourselves our intuition and inner guidance, which leaves you loved up (with yourself), empowered, and in your heart. We will be working with delicious Peruvian ceremonial grade Criolla Cacao, directly sourced from ancient Cacao gardens in the Rio Ene Region of Peru. Shamanic Drumming: The rhythmical beating of a drum is one of the oldest practices of humankind and a powerful approach that promotes health and well-being.  When the body attunes to the supportive resonance of the drum, you begin to switch off and drift into deeper relaxation, assisting the body in releasing any deep-seated stress and tension and bringing the body back to its optimum vibration. Drumming has so many powerful benefits, including reducing anxiety, quietening our minds, helping us to relax and deepen our breath, helping to release old energy that has become blocked in our body and energy system, and overall, it can boost our immune system. IMPORTANT:   Drumming is safe and beneficial for most people; however, drumming is not suitable if you are pregnant, have epilepsy, have a pacemaker or have tinnitus. Who is Fionn: Fionn is a Shamanic Priestess with over 15 years of experience in energy work and more recently her training includes breathwork and tension/trauma release exercises (TRE).  Fionn is a certified Cacao Practitioner, Shamanic Practitioner and Reiki Teacher who has a deep passion for Cacao, Goddess Archetypes, and all things wild and free! Inspired by the power of the elements, the seasons, the moon and the sun, Fionn’s intention is to support deep personal transformation so we can reclaim our most aligned selves by slowing down and reconnecting to the natural world around us.

The ceremony invites us to let go of all the distorted perceptions of the Feminine and reclaim her true nurturing qualities. The Spirits of Cacao and Rose will assist and support our journey with their alchemical transformative energy. The event combines Shamanic Journeys, Cacao and Rose Ceremony (following the energy of the Mayan calendar) and Sacred Sounds.
