This is a great introduction to bees for nature lovers and the amateur apiarist. You will learn about honey bees, the fundamentals of beekeeping, the lifecycle of the bee and how to encourage more bees and pollinating insects into your garden. After a talk and demonstration in the flower barn we will spend time out in the flower field visiting the hives, looking at the bees and tasting honeys, it will be a relaxed chance to immerse yourself in nature The workshop will be led by Jodie and Lee who are third generation beekeepers. They established Lincolnshire Honey in 2018. Their ethos has a strong focus on sustainability, from sourcing hives locally in Lincolnshire. They are passionate about educating others on protecting our pollinators and local biodiversity. Fiona who owns Pulvertoft flowers and is a working hard to promote local flowers, protecting the natural environment and reducing carbon footprints.  Please read carefully the rules regarding this workshop. Safety is very important around bees and these rules must be adhered to ensure your safety and of all those attending. All materials will be provided. Light refreshments will be included. Every attendee gets a goody bag to take home that contains an information card about flowers to grow for bees and a bee identification chart and a jar of Lincolnshire Honey. We also have a small shop of products produced by our collaborative partners that will be available to buy after the workshop. Who can attend? * Hosted in our Flower barn come along solo or with a friend, all are welcome. Full qualification in dog groomer training based in Hove

This course is designed to provide you with the required skills to either become employed in a dog grooming environment or set up your own grooming business.  At an appropriate time during your training, you will be given the option to pursue a nationally accredited qualification in addition to those detailed above. You may, of course, choose to complete the training only and not gain a qualification other than the ones included. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The course will cover: * The preparation, styling and finishing of dogs * Preparation for practical assessments * Theory study support  Students will receive all course materials and it is recommended that students bring along a camera for before and after photographs as well as pens, high-lighters and notepads. COURSE LENGTH: 20 Days consisting of our Salon Assistant Course (below) plus an additional 12 days of clipping and styling training

This course is an introduction to styling dogs. You will spend 15 full days on site doing practical learning with our fabulous dog models and tutors. There are 5 written modules, grooming diaries and 2 practical assessments at the end of the 15 days. This qualification is aimed to take students on a journey from complete beginners to be able to groom a selection of breeds.

On this course we go into far greater detail on understanding the dog’s needs, behaviour, state of mind, language, and improving your leadership skills.

This course is designed to provide a basic introduction to dog grooming, it is the building blocks for an excellent career in dog grooming providing both the practical skills and the theory behind dog grooming Dog Grooming Assistants course gives you the basic skills you need to start working in a dog grooming environment under supervision.  -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- THE COURSE WILL COVER * Correct handling and lifting of dogs * Health checking of a dog * Basic first aid * Preparing and grooming dogs prior to bathing * Bathing and cleaning dogs * Drying dogs and preparing their coats for styling * De-shedding techniques * Introduction to basic styling * Scissoring foot shapes * Nail and ear care * Cleaning and maintaining equipment used for grooming * Maintain the cleanliness and bio security of the animal care working environment in-line with health and safety * Guidance in client relations and salon management Students will receive all course materials and it is recommended that students bring along a camera for before and after photographs as well as pens, high-lighters and notepads. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It is highly recommended that upon completion of this course, you continue onto completing the 20 Day Commercial Stylist Course.  As you will have already completed 8 days of training, we can offer you a fantastic discount on the remaining 12 days of training and it includes a Pet First Aid course and certificate.  See below for full details.

This course covers the basics of dog grooming. In addition to 5 days at our school, there are 2 written modules, grooming diaries and 1 assessment at the end of the 5 days. The 5 days on this course count as part of the 15 day Certificate or the 30 day Diploma if you wish to upgrade. This qualification is aimed to introduce students to dog grooming, and give you a taste of what being a dog groomer could be.
