The Level 3 Award in Education and Training (RQF) formerly known as PTLLS, has been designed to introduce teaching for individuals who aspire or currently work in adult education. This includes FE colleges, training providers, workplace training departments and/or Local Authorities. It is a nationally recognised qualification and is also often the preference for employers to source as an accredited train-the-trainer qualification. This qualification includes written assignments and a practical micro-teach session, which can be completed remotely. Online Remote Tutor-led Sessions This version of the course allows you to attend two days of online sessions led by an experienced tutor. Then come back online 2-3 weeks later to deliver your micro-teach session to your peers. Use this gap in time to prepare your micro-teach and complete the written work for the qualification. This allows you to fully complete in as little as 2-3 weeks. The micro-teach date is flexible and you can also enrol for self-study learning if preferred.

Developmental stages of children and developing activities for 0-12 year olds (Wales) Monday 20 May, 10am-12.30pm   Do you want to know more about how children learn and play at different ages to inform how you create family activities in your museum?    About this training   This training webinar will be led by cultural heritage learning consultant Anna Salaman. She has thirty years’ experience immersed in the arts, heritage and cultural sectors, specialising in learning and participation, creativity and play. Anna has worked with organisations around the world including ArtScience Museum (Singapore), Discover Children’s Story Centre, the Science Museum, the Natural History Museum, and the V&A.   The session will help delegates to:   * learn about the developmental stages of children, ages 0-12, * gain an understanding of different facilitation styles to build confidence when interacting with children of different age groups, * explore the five types of play and facilitating play, * make plans to put the training into practice in their organisation.   Take a look at the full schedule. Afternoon Cuppa Session - Running a careers themed Takeover Day     Tuesday 21 May, 2-3.30pm   Join us for an informal virtual briefing and discussion session to inspire your own careers themed Takeover Day.  Kids in Museums Takeover Day is when museums, galleries, historic homes, archives and heritage sites invite young people to take over jobs normally done by adults for the day. This year Takeover Day is on Friday 22 November. The theme for Takeover Day in 2024 is careers. We are bringing Takeover Day back to its roots and highlighting how it can support young people of all ages to learn about different jobs in museums and develop their skills, both in the sector and beyond.
